AustraliaUFC 7 is on for 2018. Ultimate Fencing Camp is a 10 day intensive training camp and held in Melbourne in early January.

To assist the organisers fencers interested in attending are asked to send their expression of interest to by 6 June 2017.

The camp will also include a coaching course for coaches wishing to study under Maestro Enrico di Ciola (Pisa). Those interested please also send through their expression of interest.

The camp will be for foil and epee only, with sabreurs encouraged to attend the sabre camp in Sydney.

Dates and location have yet to be finalised but dates are around 2 - 12 January, with a rest day included, but are subject to change for now. Location will depend on numbers.

 Nominations are invited from fencers wishing to compete in the Asian Zone U23 Championships. These will be held 8 - 14 October 2017 in Hanoi, Viet Nam.

Fencers will need to be self managing and will be responsible for meeting any costs associated with attendance e.g. referee cost etc if any. An FIE licence will be needed for this event.

Nominations should be sent to no later than 25 June 2017.

2017-05-21 13:43 - Oceanic Cadet Championships 2017 - New Caledonia - Nominations

 Nominations are invited from fencers wishing to compete at the Oceanic Zone Cadet Championships to be held in Noumea, New Caledonia 6 - 8 October 2017 (Provisional  dates - these may alter slightly once the timetable is known). This will be a managed team.

Selection criteria apply and can be found in the Selection Criteria available in the Downloads section of this site, as can the nomination form.

An early nomination and selection process is available for those wishing to confirm their selection early. Nominations will be processed on a weekly basis and the outcome notified once selection decisions are made.

 The Asian Masters will be held in Bangkok 8 - 11 September 2017.

Three are currently plans by some Masters to attend and if possible make up a team or two, in particular a Men's Foil team, but where number allow, other teams as well.

Fencers should also note that the Thai Open follows immediately after from 12 - 17 September 2017.

FeNZOwing to the impending departure of the current treasurer, FeNZ are seeking expressions of interest from people interested in taking over this role.

While accounting qualifications are not required, a reasonable understanding of accounts and treasury functions would be an advantage. The position is a voluntary one.

OlympicsFIE have very kindly provided funding support for Oceania Zone to assist in qualifying fencers for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Funding is assigned to the top four Senior World Cup ranked fencers, regardless of weapon. The first tranche of funding has been assigned.

This event will be held in Adelaide from 10 June to 12 June 2017. Further details are available on the AFF website (, which also provides a link for online registration.
