2009-03-11 14:21 - AFF Events - Suspension of Requirement for Foil Mask Conductive Bib
Posted by Brillmartmore from same (Australia)
AustraliaThe AFF requirement for foil masks with conductive bib in  AFF competitions is now suspended until further notice from the AFF. AFF position on this  matter will next be considered at their AFF AGM in May.

In New Zealand FeNZ remains attentive to the changes occurring and the progressive development of FIE rules and standards regarding retro fit bibs. A current issue is retaining the previous FIE certification standard for masks after the mask modification for the bib replacement.

2005-02-05 00:39 - We Salute Robyn Chaplin
Posted by Brillmartmore from same (Australia)
AustraliaIt is with a sense of loss I announce to the Fencing New Zealand community of the unexpected death last Wednesday morning of Robyn Chaplin, OAM.

Robyn was a popular Australian fencer and friend to many New Zealand fencers. She will remain in the hearts and thoughts  of many of the New Zealand fencers who met her and were touched, moved and inspired by her kindness, her wonderful sense of humour and her joy for life.  Robyn will be missed by all of us.

On behalf of Fencing New Zealand I extend our deepest sympathy to Robyn's family at this difficult time, and especially to her daughter Andrea Barratt who we remain close to as a well known and respected fencing personality in her own right.

The funeral will be held on Thursday 10 February in Adelaide.
