TAMPA, Florida (USA) SEPTEMBER 2 - 4, 2005

Events -  Women’s foil, épée, and sabre; Men’s foil, épée, and sabre for age categories 50-59 and 60+ on 1st September 2005.

The participants will have to present the following documents at the time of the accreditation; Passport, 2005 FIE license, Medical Certificate (attesting the aptitude of the participant to practise fencing), Discharge of Responsibility (signed letter at time of registration)

Categories: The participants will be divided into 2 groups according to their age appearing on the passport and they can fence only in these categories:
Category A: 50 to 59 years old at September 1st 2005
Category B: 60 years old and more at September 1st 2005

Prizes: Gold, silver and two bronze medals, as well as diplomas, for each category. Also FIE medal for the winner in each category.

Formula:
Pools of 6 or 7 fencers, bouts of 5 hits of 3 minutes. After the pools direct elimination of 10 hits, 2 rounds of 3 minutes, with one minute break between each round; in sabre 1 minute break after 5 hits. A consolation round is planned for eliminated fencers. If there are fewer than 10 fencers in a category: single pool.
