The Australian Fencing Federation (AFF) are hosting an Olympic Solidarity National Level development course for coaches. The course will be presented by FIE Technical Director, Maître Ioan Pop and AFF National Epée Coach, Maître Vladimir Sher.
There will be two five day courses with a weapon option available, 17th – 21st June (Foil or Epee) or 22nd – 26th June (Epee or Sabre) to be held un Melbourne. We thank AFF for reserving two places for Fencing New Zealand coaches on each of the two course dates. The New Zealand participants will have to meet their own travel and accommodation costs. Fencing New Zealand will support the FeNZ selected attendees with a $250 travel/accommodation coach training grant.
Fencing New Zealand hereby requests nominations from Fencing New Zealand member coaches who wish to participate in one of these coaching courses.
Nominations should be made in writing, explaining why you wish to participate in the course, their background, experience and what they want to achieve, what the benefits will be for themselves, their club and how they will assist their region. Nominations may include letters of support and recommendation. The written nominations must be received by Fencing New Zealand by 6pm (18:00 NZST), Sunday 7th May 2006.
The selection panel will be Fencing New Zealand’s President (Martin Brill) and Selector (Steve Martin). FeNZ will advise successful nominees by 10th May 2006.
