2006-06-08 00:20 - Commonwealth Championship 2006
Posted by adminmore from same (FeNZ)
FeNZFencers who have met the minimum performance threshold and who would like to be considered for selection to the Commonwealth Championship team should now confirm their availability to the Selector if they have not already done so - selector@fencing .org.nz.
As a reminder, the minimum performance criteria are listed below.
Anyone who has failed to met the minimum standard but feels that they have a special case may put that case to the Selector by email for consideration.
Eligibility for Commonwealth Championship Selection Consideration

In addition to the other requirements of the Selection Policy, in order to be considered for selection to represent New Zealand in any weapon at the Commonwealth Championships, each fencer must satisfy the following criteria:

1. They must have at least 600 points in that weapon at the time of selection.
2. Of those points at least one contributing result should come from either FIE points or a competition with MaxPts (see Appendix A for definition) of over 250

These criteria can be waived only as allowed for in the current Selection Policy, S2.1 or in the case of overseas based fencers S2.7

Note that this is the minimum standard to be considered in the ballpark for an event of this nature. Achieving it alone does not imply automatic selection.
