nzmap regionsIt is important that ALL fencers affiliate with Fencing NZ and update their profile regardless of whether you are competing in club, regional or national tournaments. We need to know who our members are so we can better communicate and support you and your development as a fencer, coach, referee, official or volunteer.

All fencers are required to register with Fencing NZ as a member of the Region in which they live, through this registration portal -  even if only as a "Club" or "School" member.

The information you provide is used to support applications for grant funding for development events, check individual eligibility for entry into regional and national tournaments, communicate with you about upcoming events, publish summary information on clubs and schools overall membership and support the management and development of fencing in New Zealand.

Use the map to check your Region.

Competitive membership - for fencers competing in Regional or National or International competitions

Recreational membership - if you are fencing but not competing at a Regional level. You can upgrade at any point to a Competitive membership.

Associate membership - if you are a volunteer, coach, referee or official

Affiliation signs you up with both Fencing New Zealand and your Region.
