Update on the Junior Team Challenge taking place later this month -
The Junior Team Challenge is a chance for fencers to perform in a team event, show that they have what it takes to be a great NZ team player, and to demonstrate their understanding of the team role they are to play.
Fencers are asked to make up their own teams of 3 or 4 fencers that can have fencers from any region or nationality.
Are you going to choose a team with all the top ranked fencers to hide behind their strengths or are you going to demonstrate how you can tough it out and hold a team together that performs better than the sum of the individuals?
There will be separate gender events where possible.
The Junior Challenge Event will be a Ranking Competition and Selectors will be present. Participation in this event is not mandatory but you will have a chance to gain points and demonstrate fencing skills and team performance.
The Selectors reserve the right to make changes to the Junior Challenge Teams once submitted and fencers will be advised the the morning after the daily registraion has closed.
Each person fencing in a team pays for their own entry fee.
