FIE Budapest Coaching Academy

This is MASSIVE! Congratulations to Nour Malakwho is one of only eight fencers worldwide who have been selected by the FIE to spend 3 months living  in Hungary and attending the FIE Budapest Coaching Academy for the FIE Level 3 Course.

This is a huge opportunity for Nour and for New Zealand Fencing, and we wish her the greatest success on what has to be the opportunity of a lifetime!

National development director appointed

Please join us in welcoming our new National Development Director Simone May to the team. 

Simone comes to us from a wealth of experience as a Project Manager and Training Program Manager for a large NZ company, and was also for many years heavily involved with Netball North Harbour in the management and development of umpires for the sport. 

Her first priorities in this new role will be a full review of the future Development Plan; putting the rest of the team and coaching resources together; then engaging the team for the National Junior Training Camp planned for the first week of July in Dunedin (more info to follow soon).

This is a truly exciting opportunity for everybody in our sport to grow and develop and to be the best that they can be, so please give her every assistance you can.
