Athlete Commission Refresh – A call to aspiring athlete advocates!

With two of our current members standing down (Anna Chalton & Grant Tweddle), we are looking for suitable candidates to join the Athletes Commission.

We would like to appoint one junior, one senior and one veteran fencer to join Hanna Choi and Sheldon Ogilvie on the Commission. In doing so we will be aiming as far as practical to achieve a good balance across genders, fencing disciplines and regions.

About the Commission

The ‘mission’ of the Commission is to represent New Zealand fencers of all ages and abilities, to promote safe engagement at all levels and provide a link between athletes and Fencing New Zealand.

The Commission usually meets online typically in advance of FeNZ Board meetings, which are attended by the Commission Chairperson or other nominated representative.

You can find a copy of the Commission’s terms of reference here: Athletes' Commission - Terms of Reference
