The FIE International B Grade Referee Exams this year are planned to be held in conjunction with the Asian U-23 Championships from October 3rd -7th in the city of Almaty in Kazakhstan.
The number of spaces available for NZ referees is unknown at this point but expected to be limited. This will be determined by the Asian Fencing Federation at some point in the future.
Fencing New Zealand is now seeking Expressions of Interest from our pool of referees currently officiating at National Events to attend this event to do both the theoretical and practical Exams.
NB - It is no longer a requirement to hold a C Grade Licence to apply for a B Grade licence.
Priority will be given to those who have C Licences currently, and those regularly assisting at National Events.
Fencing NZ will be seeking grants for funding to assist attendees with travel and accommodation expenses.
